Our clients are well-respected Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services in NT and WA delivering high-quality, culturally appropriate primary healthcare services across regional Western Australia. They are seeking experienced Child Health Nurses to join their multidisciplinary teams and play a key role in delivering comprehensive, family-centred care.

The Role

This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse with a passion for child health to work in a culturally safe, community-focused environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering comprehensive child health assessments for children, including ASQ-TRAK developmental screening
• Providing primary health care services focused on prevention, early detection and early intervention
• Supporting immunisation delivery in line
• Participating in community outreach and opportunistic screening activities
• Collaborating with Doctors , Aboriginal Health Practitioners, allied health professionals and social wellbeing teams
• Coordinating referrals and care plans with internal services and external providers
• Supporting families to understand treatment options and make informed decisions about their child’s health
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to continuous quality improvement

What We’re Looking For

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience
• Experience in child health nursing and strong knowledge of childhood development
• Current accreditation to deliver vaccinations (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
• Sound understanding of the WA or NT childhood immunisation schedule
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families and multidisciplinary teams
• Experience working with Aboriginal communities or a strong commitment to culturally safe practice
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in complex care environment
