Clinical Lead – Youth Mental Health
Location: Esperance, WA
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $120K + Super + Salary Packaging
Relocation: $1,500 relocation assistance
About the Organisation
Our client is a community-focused organisation providing mental health and wellbeing services to young people, their families and friends. They are seeking a Clinical Lead to join their Esperance team and play a key role in leading high-quality, evidence-based and developmentally appropriate mental health services.
The Role
This is a senior clinical leadership opportunity for an experienced mental health professional looking to combine clinical practice with supervision, service development and clinical governance. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical leadership while maintaining a small caseload of young people with complex needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide clinical leadership, advice and support to the wider clinical delivery team.
- Provide supervision to client services staff and help build clinical capability across the service.
- Oversee clinical governance and take responsibility for client-related clinical decisions.
- Support the delivery of evidence-based, best-practice services for young people and their families and friends.
- Maintain a small caseload and provide individual and group interventions for young people with complex needs.
- Coordinate client intake and clinical review meetings as required.
- Support staff training and contribute to identifying service development and training needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and participate in community networking.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- A relevant qualification as a mental health clinician.
- Current AHPRA or AASW registration, depending on your profession.
- Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision.
- Experience assessing and working with young people experiencing mental health and/or alcohol and other drug concerns.
- Confidence managing complex situations, including crises and critical incidents.
- Strong communication, written, administrative and computer skills.
- Ability to analyse service data to monitor and inform service delivery.
- Knowledge and experience working in culturally secure ways.
- Experience coordinating counselling, therapeutic and/or group services for young people and their families and friends.
- A current C or A class driver’s licence, Working with Children Check and police clearance (within 3 months).
