Clinical Lead – Youth Mental Health

Salary: $115,000 to $120,000 per annum + super + salary packaging

Our client is a well-established organisation delivering mental health and wellbeing services to young people, their families and friends.

This is an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team focused on providing high-quality, evidence-based and developmentally appropriate early intervention services for young people experiencing mental health and alcohol and other drug concerns.

About the Role

As the Clinical Lead, you will play a senior role within the multidisciplinary team, providing clinical leadership, supervision and support while overseeing the delivery of high-quality client services.

You will also maintain a small caseload of young people with complex needs and work collaboratively with families, friends and external service providers to support positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership, supervision and specialist advice to staff.
• Oversee clinical governance and client-related clinical decisions.
• Coordinate client intake and clinical review meetings.
• Provide individual and group supervision to client services staff.
• Support staff capability through training, professional development and clinical guidance.
• Provide direct clinical services to young people with complex mental health and AOD needs.
• Support the development and delivery of counselling, therapeutic and group programs.
• Ensure services are aligned with evidence-based practice, clinical standards and contractual requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and community service providers.
• Attend stakeholder networking and community meetings as required.
• Contribute to service planning, reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement.
• Work in a culturally secure and appropriate manner.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• A relevant qualification as a Mental Health Clinician.
• Current professional registration with AHPRA or AASW.
• Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision.
• Experience assessing and working with young people experiencing mental health and/or AOD concerns.
• Experience providing and coordinating counselling, therapeutic interventions and group work.
• Strong understanding of youth mental health and complex presentations.
• Ability and confidence to manage challenging situations, crises and critical incidents.
• Strong communication, report writing and administrative skills.
• Ability to analyse service data to monitor and improve service delivery.
• Demonstrated experience working in culturally secure and appropriate ways.
• Strong leadership, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A commitment to evidence-based and best-practice service delivery.

Desirable:

• Experience identifying and developing staff training needs.
• Experience contributing to policies, procedures and service improvements.
• Knowledge of Equal Opportunity principles and their application to service delivery.

Essential Requirements

• Current C or A Class Driver’s Licence.
• Working with Children Check.
• Police Certificate issued within the past 3 months.
• Current professional registration relevant to your discipline.
