The Client:

A rare opportunity for a Clinical Nurse/Quality Manager to provide clinical leadership working regional to ensure the clinical performance of a small facility.

Working with the supportive Operations Manager and clinical team you will deliver on culturally appropriate aged care services to elderly consumers living in the Kimberley region and surrounding areas.

The key focus will be on ensuring safety and wellbeing of consumers, care planning, quality assurance, continuous improvement and maintaining accreditation standards. Be part of a close knit team and enjoy the stunning natural Kimberley region, close to Broome and other attractions.

You responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring all residents receive high quality care
• Providing clinical leadership and advice and coordinate care delivery
• Lead and support the clinical team to ensure a high level of care
• Maintain compliance with Aged Care Standards, OH&S policies and legislation
• Contribute to policies and procedures related to clinical governance and care services
• Manage the facility in the absence of the Operations Manager
• Ensure adherence to accreditation standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives

To be successful in this role:

• Experience working in residential aged care and supporting the aged living in remote areas
• Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration
• Ability to work effectively with Indigenous communities and respect their traditional values
• Knowledge of risk management, regulatory compliance in aged care, quality systems and continuous improvement
• First Aid and Basic Life Support Certificate
• Current NPC (or willing to obtain one)
• Current ‘C’ Driver’s License
