  • $57.50PH + penalties
  • Long-term employment with permanent opportunities after probation
  • Afternoon shift lifestyle roster – Monday to Friday with early Friday finish

Zenith Search are currently seeking experienced CNC Machinists for an afternoon shift position based in Canning Vale, working with a well-established engineering and manufacturing business offering long-term stability and career growth.

This role will suit someone who takes pride in precision machining, has strong attention to detail, and enjoys working in a high-performing workshop environment.

Shift Details

Afternoon Shift
Monday – Thursday: 3:00PM – 11:00PM
Friday: 12:00PM – 6:00PM
38-hour week

Please note: The workshop will relocate to East Rockingham within 12 months, so candidates based in Perth’s south eastern corridor are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to produce precision components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Select tooling, set offsets, prove out jobs, and run production efficiently
  • Complete quality checks and final inspections using precision measuring equipment
  • Troubleshoot machining issues including tool wear, finish, offsets, and accuracy
  • Maintain machines, tooling, and a clean, safe work environment
  • Work alongside production and engineering teams to improve efficiency and quality
  • Complete job records and production documentation accurately

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a CNC Machinist
  • Experience with CNC turning and/or milling
  • Strong ability to read drawings and use micrometers, verniers, and gauges
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
  • Reliable, proactive, and solution-focused attitude

Highly Regarded

  • Experience operating Okuma 4000 lathes
  • Exposure to MAZAK mills and lathes
