About the Role:

As the CSSD Deputy Manager or Supervisor (Central Sterile Supply Department), you will be at the heart of delivering top-quality healthcare, overseeing the decontamination, packing and sterilisation of reusable instruments and equipment. Reporting directly to the Perioperative Services Manager, your leadership and diligence will ensure they maintain the highest standards for their modern Operating Theatres and Wards, following AS5369:2023 standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team in preventing and controlling healthcare-associated infections.
• Provide leadership and foster positive team dynamics within the CSSD department.
• Conduct monthly audits and in-service education.
• Organise maintenance and repairs of CSSD equipment.
• Manage staff rosters and allocations.

Selection Criteria:

• Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (Sterilising Services) or equivalent.
• Minimum three years’ experience sterilising complex medical instruments.
• Strong knowledge of AS5369:2023 sterilisation standards.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft applications, training program development, and management qualifications (desirable).
