The Opportunity
Our client is a highly regarded electrical contractor delivering major mining and infrastructure projects across Australia. Due to an urgent project award, they are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Superintendent to join their team on a major project in the Northern Territory.
Initially offered as a 6-month FIFO assignment, this opportunity also provides the potential to transition onto future projects already secured across Western Australia.
Working on an 8:6 roster, you will work closely with the client’s representative to oversee the successful delivery of electrical and instrumentation works while leading a well-established site team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the safe and successful delivery of electrical and instrumentation works across the project.
- Manage quality assurance and quality control to ensure works are completed to specification.
- Oversee estimating, procurement and material coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
- Supervise electrical works including communications, data and distribution systems, with projects involving infrastructure up to 400kV.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to a site team comprising Electricians, Refrigeration Mechanics and Supervisors.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all company and client standards.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as an E&I Superintendent within the mining, resources or heavy industrial sectors.
- Strong background delivering high-voltage electrical and instrumentation projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing site-based electrical teams and subcontractors.
- Sound knowledge of quality control, procurement and project coordination.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with client representatives and project teams.
- The ability to work an 8:6 FIFO roster.
