Electrical Instrumentation Technician

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Instrumentation Technician for a 5/5/4 roster based in Kwinana for a 6 month contract. You will hold a WA Electrical Licence as well as an Instrumentation Trade Certificate. This position is avaialble to commence immedaitely.

Additional Requirements Include:

  • High Voltage Switching Operation Certification
  • High Risk Work Licence (EWP)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy industry or refining processes
  • Proven experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Strong knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities include:

  • Uphold high standards in health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Safely isolate plant and equipment per Permit to Work (PTW) requirements.
  • Comply with electrical and gas regulations.
  • Perform maintenance tasks following SAP procedures and log data accurately.
  • Define and scope corrective tasks for effective planning.
  • Develop and enhance task-specific safe work instructions.
  • Report events and hazards promptly; participate in investigations as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization for plant, equipment, and tools.
  • Alternate between shift and maintenance roles; be prepared for relief positions.
  • Reduce operating costs through efficient resource use and waste elimination.
  • Engage in planning activities and work towards KPIs and business goals.
  • Set and pursue individual and team goals aligned with business objectives.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Complete tasks based on business needs and your skill set.
  • Promote and uphold company values and culture
