The company…

This is no typical “construction contractor”. Our client runs a diverse range of projects from high end fashion fit out through to industrial and commercial new builds in Western Australia. They are a professional but down to earth business that has a small business feel where you will work closely with the owner of the business. Projects can vary from $100k through to $10m in size and given they have only been trading 6 years they have made great inroads and have a wide and varied client base.

The opportunity…

We are seeking either an intermediate or senior level Estimator who is seeking a development opportunity that will see them play a major part in continuing the growth of this specialist contractor and work closely with the owner of the business.

This is a varied position that will see you running all tenders as well as taking involvement in negotiating with sub-contractors and working with the owner meeting clients, which means you wont be stuck behind a desk crunching numbers all the time! Given diversity of projects you will have a range of different size and types of projects to get stuck into.

What you need

• You must have a minimum of 5 + year’s experience working in an Estimating position in either a Fit-out OR commercial building contractor.
• Ideally but not essential to be tertiary qualified (QS or Construction Management, Economics) and
• Have a high level of experience and ability to produce extremely accurate and detailed cost plans, take offs and BOQ’s particularly on design and construct projects.
• First principal experience, strong eye for detail, first class literacy, numeracy and communication skills.

We would ideally like to see experience in dealing with sub-contractors and involvement with client meetings and negotiations.
