Our client, a well-established specialist contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join it’s Perth-based team. The company delivers complex civil, marine, rail and infrastructure projects across Western Australia, with project values typically up to $200M.

Renowned for its strong delivery capability, the company maintains a highly self-performing model, delivering up to 95% of project scopes in-house.

This role will play a key part in the pre-contracts and tendering process, supporting the business in securing and delivering technically challenging projects through accurate estimating, cost planning and tender development. Estimators in construction are responsible for analysing drawings, materials, labour and other costs to prepare competitive project bids and tender submissions.

Your New Role:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, tenders and pricing submissions for civil and infrastructure projects
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and develop estimates using first-principles costing
  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation
  • Assist with the preparation of tender documentation and bid submissions
  • Work closely with project managers and engineers during the tender process
  • Maintain and update internal cost databases and estimating systems

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in an Estimator role within civil or infrastructure construction
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience preparing BOQs, tender submissions and cost breakdowns
  • Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills
  • Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar
