FIFO Polywelders

  • Major civil contractor | Direct permanent hire
  • Long-term WA mining projects | Secure pipeline of work
  • 2/1 FIFO roster | 12-hour shifts | Rio Tinto & FMG sites

About the role

We’re seeking experienced Polywelders to join a reputable civil contractor on a large-scale pipeline projects. This is a permanent full-time position, tied directly to project delivery, offering job security and long-term opportunity.

Key Details

  • Roster: 2/1 FIFO | 12-hr day shifts (all days)

  • Pay: $60-$65ph – (DOE) + Fulltime entiltements

  • Sites: FMG & Rio Tinto

  • Start: Immediate

What you’ll do

  • Operate McElroy (450mm, T500, T600, T900) and Dixon (600-1010mm) machines

  • Assist with civil pipeline construction, site prep, installation, and earthworks

  • Complete QA checks and maintain weld/test documentation

  • Work to site HSE procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture

Skills & Requirements

  • Essential:

    • Polywelding Ticket (Valid Within 2 years)

    • T900 welding experience (min 2-5 yrs)

    • Experience with Data Loggers

    • Excavator, IT Loader and Skid Steer Tickets

    • Chainsaw ticket

    • Dogging Ticket

    • Able to pass pre-employment medical & lab D&A

    • National Police Clearance (within 6 months or willing to obtain)

  • Desirable:

    • HR licence

    • Rio Tinto/FMG inductions
