General Manager – Underground Gold Operation

An opportunity exists for an experienced operational leader to take ownership of one of Western Australia’s most exciting underground gold restart projects.

Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, you will play a critical role in leading the recommissioning of the operation, building the site leadership team and setting the foundations for safe, reliable and profitable production.

This is a rare opportunity to shape an operation before first ore is delivered, rather than inheriting an established mine.

The Opportunity

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the operation, providing leadership across mining, technical services, HSE and site administration while partnering closely with key contracting partners throughout the restart phase.

You will lead the operational readiness program, establish systems and standards, develop culture and ensure the operation transitions successfully into steady-state production.

• Lead the recommissioning and operational readiness of an underground gold operation.
• Build and develop a high-performing site leadership team.
• Drive safety, operational performance and continuous improvement.
• Manage contractor performance and stakeholder relationships.
• Deliver production, cost and business objectives.

About You

You will be an experienced mining executive with a proven background leading underground mining operations.

You’ll bring:

• Previous experience as a Site Senior Executive, General Manager or Mining Manager.
• Strong underground hard rock mining experience.
• Demonstrated success leading operational change, commissioning or mine restart projects.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management capability.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to balance operational performance and long-term value.
