GENERAL PRACTITIONER
Are you passionate about making a difference in the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities? An exciting full-time, permanent opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Practitioner to join a respected not-for-profit organisation based in the Moreton Bay region.
As a General Practitioner with our client, you’ll be instrumental in delivering comprehensive, culturally appropriate and holisitic care. This role involves working closely with a dedicated team to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, addressing not only acute illness and injury but also chronic disease management, health promotion, and the social determinants of health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality health assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for clients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver primary health care services.
- Maintain a commitment to quality management using clinical systems such as LogiQC. outlook, Mmex, word, spreadsheets and telehealth software.
- Support ongoing continuous improvement through regular service reviews.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust, respect, and collaboration.
- Ensure all medical documentation is clear, accurate, and effective.

Skills and Experience Required:
- MBBS and unconditional registration with AHPRA
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in general practice or primary health care is desirable but not essential
- Proven ability to achieve targets and work within a continuous improvement framework
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen, influence, and mentor others
Desirable:
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients
- Vocational Registration (not mandatory)
