General Practitioner – Primary Health / Remote Healthcare

Location: FIFO 4 weeks on/ 2 weeks off
Job Type: Full-time (Negotiated Contract)
Salary: $350,000 per annum + benefits

Our client is a respected provider in the primary health care sector, delivering essential medical services to remote and Aboriginal communities across Western Australia. The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced General Practitioner to step into a dynamic and highly rewarding role offering both challenge and purpose.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering comprehensive primary health care, including general practice, emergency care, and chronic disease management
• Diagnosing and treating patients, ordering investigations, and managing referrals to specialists and allied health services
• Providing after-hours emergency support, including coordination of patient evacuations where required
• Supporting health promotion, preventative care, and community education initiatives

You’ll work closely with the Senior Medical Officer, nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers, and a multidisciplinary team, playing a key role in improving health outcomes for the community.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• Current unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA
• Experience in general practice, ideally within rural, remote, or Aboriginal health settings
• Strong clinical skills across primary care, emergency response, and chronic disease management
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work sensitively in a cross-cultural environment
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Paediatric Life Support (PLS) certification
• A current WA Driver’s Licence and eligibility for National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
• Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM (or equivalent)

Desirable:

• Experience with Communicare or similar patient management systems
• Previous experience working with Aboriginal communities or remote health services
