Locum FIFO or Telehealth General Practitioner – Aboriginal Medical Service

About the Company

Our client is a highly respected Aboriginal Medical Service dedicated to delivering culturally appropriate, holistic healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. With a strong focus on improving health outcomes and supporting community wellbeing, they are seeking experienced Locum General Practitioners to provide quality primary healthcare services across their network.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced GP seeking rewarding locum work while making a meaningful impact in Indigenous health.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing high-quality primary healthcare consultations
• Managing acute and chronic health conditions
• Delivering preventative healthcare and health education
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Appointments are scheduled in either 15-minute or 30-minute blocks, allowing flexibility and effective patient care. Standard consulting hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break.

You’ll work closely with local healthcare professionals and community stakeholders while contributing to improved health outcomes within Aboriginal communities.

Dates available from July through to December!

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
• Fellowship with RACGP and/or ACRRM (essential)
• Previous experience in General Practice
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A commitment to culturally safe and patient-centred healthcare
• Current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
• Full, unrestricted working rights within Australia

What’s On Offer

Date available from July through to December!

In return, our client offers:

• $1,800 – $2,100 per day
• Minimum 2 weeks, preference is 4 week bookings.
• Open to ongoing 2 weeks on 2 weeks off
• Travel allowance with airfares reimbursed
• Accommodation allowance
• Hire car allowance
• Fuel allowance
• Meal allowances
• Travel time/absence from practice allowance

Telehealth Opportunities Available

Telehealth locum placements are also available and offer:

• Up to $1,800 per day
• Consulting hours of 9:00am-5:00pm (1-hour lunch break)
• 15-minute or 30-minute appointments
• Lunch allowance provided
