Are you an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with a passion for open pit mining? Our client, a leading Geotechnical Engineering consultancy serving the mining industry, is seeking a talented professional to join their technical team in Perth.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Mining Geotechnical Engineer to provide expert consultancy services for open pit mining projects. This hybrid role combines office-based work in Perth with travel to various mine sites, offering a perfect blend of analytical work and hands-on field experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct geotechnical investigations and analyses for open pit mines
  • Develop and review slope designs and stability assessments
  • Provide technical advice on ground control strategies and risk management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on mining projects
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions
  • Contribute to business development initiatives

Requirements:

  • Full Australia working rights
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in open pit geotechnical engineering
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles and their application in mining
  • Proficiency in relevant software packages (e.g., Rocscience, Minescape, Vulcan)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication and report writing abilities
  • Willingness to travel to mine sites as required
