  • Work for a leading Aboriginal Primary Health Care Provider
  • $120k-$128k package which includes $13k Housing Allowance

Our Client:

A rare and exciting permanent opportunity has become available to make a real difference working for the largest Primary Healthcare provider delivering essential services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in and around the Roebourne area. They have an amazing super clinic in the local area which delivers essential healthcare services to approximately 3,000 families, men, women and children each year.

The Exciting Opportunity:

As the lead HR & Recruitment Officer, you will be responsible for managing a HR Assistant where you will take a mentoring and supervisory role in facilitating an effective and collaborative, team orientated relationship. You will also be responsible for:

  • Managing all aspects of recruitment including advertising positions vacant, coordinating the selection of candidates, coordinating interview panels, conducting referee checks and notifications.
  • Preparing all necessary paperwork for employment and discharge.
  • Developing, implementing and managing the staff credentialing register.
  • Managing all employee enquiries and act as a resource for staff on human resource issues.
  • Modern Award interpretation.
  • Supporting hiring managers with HR Best Practice Advice to mitigate risk.
  • Managing all elements of the employee personnel files including ensuring that all documentation is present and up to date.
  • Managing the staff induction program.
  • Quality improvement – assist Compliance Specialist with regularly maintaining Quality Improvement Council Standards.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining HR registers as required, which include compliance registers, leave register and the training register.
  • Management of HR Assistant – take a leadership role in facilitating an effective and collaborative working relationship.

Criteria to be considered:

  • Willing to relocate to the Karratha or Roebourne area
  • A basic understanding of the legal obligations and standards required for the management of human resources.
  • A good understanding of the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards.
  • A good understanding of modern awards.
  • Ability to problem solve effectively on a day-to-day basis.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to discuss and explain the policies of the service to staff and to work with staff on implementation and compliance with policies.

What you can expect in Return:

Total salary package is worth $120k-$128k which includes super and lots of benefits listed below

  • Breakdown as follows:
    • Base salary – $89,252 + 11.5% Super = $99,516
    • Housing allowance – $13,000
    • District Allowance for Single Person – $3,055
    • Leave Loading = $1,201
    • Utility / Electricity Allowance – $1,000
    • Annual Airfare after 12 months of service – $1,000
    • Salary Sacrifice – $18,000 resulting in $7k-$8k extra take home pay
