The Opportunity
Our client is a leading contractor specialising in industrial services across the mining, oil & gas and infrastructure sectors. They are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support a major shutdown across a Rio Tinto Iron Ore operation.
Working closely with site leadership and frontline crews, you’ll play a key role in maintaining safety standards, supporting compliance and providing practical HSE guidance throughout the shutdown.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional looking to secure a short-term shutdown with a well-established contractor.
What You’ll Bring
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (essential)
- Previous experience as an HSE Advisor within mining shutdowns or oil and gas
- Current RTIO inductions (essential)
- Ability to provide a current National Police Clearance
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical
- Strong understanding of risk management, incident reporting and permit systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with both supervisors and frontline personnel
