Renewable Metals is redefining how the world recovers critical minerals.

We’ve developed a world-first alkali recycling process capable of recovering over 95% of metals from battery waste-cleaner, more efficient, and built for scale. Backed by leading climate-tech investors and government funding, we are now commissioning our large-scale demonstration plant in Perth, with full-scale operations targeted for 2026.

The Opportunity

This is not a desk-based HSE role.

This is a hands-on, in-plant leadership role where safety is being built in real time alongside operations.

You will work directly with operators, supervisors and leadership to implement and evolve HSE systems, manage risk in a live processing environment, and embed a strong safety culture from day one.

The plant environment is dynamic – commissioning, trials, process changes – requiring someone who can apply practical judgement, not just policy.

What You’ll Own

  • Implementation and continuous improvement of HSE systems
  • Hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Safety training, engagement, and behavioural culture
  • Environmental compliance and reporting
  • Practical HSE support to plant leadership and operations

About You

You are a practical safety leader.

  • Experience in HSE roles within industrial/process environments
  • Strong capability in risk assessment and incident investigation
  • Comfortable being present on site and influencing behaviours
  • Able to balance compliance with operational realities
