The Company
Our client is a successful building services specialist in the sands, crushing, screening and bulk earthworks sector, with a blue-chip client base and reputation for safety and environmental commitment.
The Role
We are currently searching for a commercial FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT to join the finance and accounting team. You will report directly to the Managing Diretor and provide commercial and financial stewardship to the profitable running of the business with a business outlook whilst understanding the drivers of the business.
Duties
- responsible for producing accurate financial and management reports.
- ensuring budgets, cashflow, costings, forecasts and payroll is timely and accurate.
- stakeholder engagement across on-site operations, quarries and the workshop.
- systems improvement and efficiencies.
- constantly look to improve workshop costings and quotation systems.
Genuine career progression to a Finance Manager position.
The Requirements:
- Accounting qualification
- 5+ years industry experience as a financial accountant
- Exposure to building services OR construction OR plant and equipment OR earthworks.
- People leadership of a small team is highly desirable.
- A commercial and pro-active approach with a business outlook and practical attitude.
- Software upgrades, systems experience and cost management experience employers, demonstrating a stable employment history.
- Previous experience creating efficiencies in both systems and processes.
