Medicare Mental Health Outreach Worker – Community Mental Health
Location: Wheatbelt, WA
Job Type: Full-time Contract (37.5 hours per week) to 30 June 2028
Salary: $91,000 + Super + Salary Packaging + Travel Allowance

What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work or Counselling or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting people experiencing mental health challenges, suicide risk and/or co-occurring alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues.
- Experience conducting intake, screening and psychosocial assessments.
- The ability to manage a caseload and deliver brief intervention programs.
- Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
- An understanding of culturally secure practice when working with Aboriginal people and regional communities.
- Experience working in community or outreach settings (highly desirable).
- A current National Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
