Mental Health Clinician – Youth Mental Health Services
Location: Geraldton, WA
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $100,000 to $108,000 per annum + Super + Salary Sacrifice
About the Organisation
Our client is a respected leader in the mental health services sector, known for their commitment to supporting young people’s mental health needs. They have been operating since 1994, delivering a range of services to help young people aged 12-25 thrive in their communities. They are seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join their team and contribute to improving the mental wellbeing of young people across Western Australia.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Clinician to take on a dynamic role that combines case management and therapeutic interventions. You’ll be working with young people who face a range of severe and complex mental health challenges, and you’ll play a key part in their recovery journey.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of young people with moderate to severe mental health concerns within the YES program.
- Coordinating case management and evidence-based therapeutic mental health care based on individual needs to promote recovery.
- Conducting initial assessments of referrals to determine care pathways, risk levels, and complexity of needs.
- Developing and implementing tailored risk management and treatment plans.
You’ll work closely with the Clinical Lead and multidisciplinary team, engaging with young people, their families, and external providers to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to care.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- At least 2+ years of experience in clinical practice within the mental health field, ideally working with young people.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in both therapeutic and case management roles.
- The ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engage with families, and navigate complex mental health needs.
- Familiarity with mental health assessment tools, risk management frameworks, and evidence-based psychological interventions.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g., psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or mental health nursing).
- Current full membership or registration with AHPRA or AASW.
