Remuneration: $110,000-$120,000 + Super

The Role
This full-time Clinical Nurse Educator position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of mental health, drug and alcohol (MHDA) services. You’ll work as a clinical leader within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred education and support across a range of inpatient and community settings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the professional development of nursing staff across the MHDA portfolio
- Promoting a learning culture that supports innovation and clinical excellence
- Providing clinical education, supervision, and mentoring using adult learning principles
- Contributing to the development of competency-based training programs
- Utilising data and planning tools to inform and evaluate education initiatives
- Acting as a role model in delivering trauma-informed, recovery-focused care
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced nurse educator with:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- A relevant post-registration qualification in education or mental health nursing OR minimum 3 years’ experience in mental health and education
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of adult learning principles in a healthcare environment
- Clinical teaching and facilitation skills within a practice development framework
- Knowledge of competency assessment processes
- Digital literacy, including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and ability to navigate hospital systems
- Current NSW driver’s licence and ability to travel as required
