Mine Planning Engineer
Mining Engineer – Underground Gold Project | FIFO 8:6 | Western Australia
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mining Engineer to join a growing underground gold operation in Western Australia. This role is ideally suited to an engineer with approximately 2 years of underground mining experience who is looking to broaden their technical exposure and take on greater planning responsibilities within a dynamic project environment.
The successful candidate will have experience across drill and blast and ventilation, with an interest in developing their capability in mine planning, design, and scheduling.
About the Opportunity
As the operation is currently in the junior development phase, this position offers direct involvement across an advancing project pipeline, providing exposure well beyond a traditional site-based production role. You will play a meaningful part in feasibility and development decisions while working closely with senior leadership in a lean and highly collaborative technical team.

Key Responsibilities
- Production and development planning
- Drill and blast coordination and optimisation

About You
- Degree qualified in Mining Engineering
- Approximately 2 years’ underground mining experience
- Underground time completed or close to completion
- Exposure to drill and blast and ventilation
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Desire to expand into planning and technical project work
- Ability to work effectively within a small, fast-paced team
