Underground Mining Production Engineer
FIFO from Perth | Long-Life Underground Operation | Permanent Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an Underground Production Engineer to join a well-established Australian mining operation with significant mine life and ongoing investment in underground growth projects.
Working within a collaborative technical team, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and profitable underground production outcomes.
This opportunity is ideal for graduate and mining engineers looking to accelerate their career within a high-performing underground operation, as well as offering an opportunity for engineers working towards completing their required underground time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement short-term production plans aligned with operational targets.
- Prepare and optimise stope designs, drill and blast plans, and production schedules.
- Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity.
- Work closely with underground operations, geology, planning, and technical services teams.
About You
- Degree qualified in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
- Previous experience in underground hard rock mining environments.
- Strong understanding of production engineering principles, drill and blast, and underground mining methods.
- Experience with Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac, or comparable mining software (advantageous).
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across technical and operational teams.
