The Opportunities

Zenith Search is currently partnering with several established and growing civil construction contractors across Rockhampton, Townsville and Cairns, seeking experienced Civil Engineers and Project Managers to join their teams.

With a strong pipeline of civil infrastructure projects across North Queensland, we’re recruiting for multiple positions ranging from Site Engineers through to experienced Project Managers.

Positions Available

• Site Engineers – Supporting day-to-day site operations, QA, subcontractor coordination and project delivery.

• Project Engineers – Managing civil construction packages, programming, procurement, cost control and technical delivery.

• Senior Project Engineers – Taking ownership of major work packages, mentoring junior engineers and overseeing project performance.

• Project Managers – Overseeing projects from tender through to completion, including commercial management, programming, resources and client relationships.

Project Scopes

Opportunities span a diverse range of civil construction and infrastructure projects, including:

• TMR road construction, highway upgrades and intersection works.

• Bulk earthworks, excavation and detailed earthworks.

• Stormwater drainage, culverts and underground services.

• Residential and commercial subdivisions.

• Bridges, retaining walls and concrete structures.

• Water and wastewater infrastructure.

• Regional infrastructure upgrades and disaster recovery works.

About You

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

• Previous contractor-side civil construction experience in Australia.

• Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects across one or more of the above scopes.

• Strong understanding of QA, programming, subcontractor management and project delivery.

• Commercial awareness, including cost tracking, forecasting, procurement and variations.

• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project delivery teams.

• Previous TMR or Queensland civil construction experience will be highly regarded.
