Occupational Therapist – Aged Care Mandurah/Rockingham

A fantastic opportunity for an Occupational Therapist who enjoys person-centred care, flexible hours, and working in the community, supporting clients in their own homes.

Team: Home Care/Community Care

Hours: Part-time, 0.6-0.8 FTE (3-4 days/week)

Pay: $45-$52 per hour (depending on experience, negotiable) + Super

Benefits: Salary packaging, 0.92c/km reimbursement

Your Role:

As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will:

• Manage and complete OT referrals across home and centre-based services
• Plan and deliver individual or group therapy programs
• Educate clients on the safe use of aids and equipment
• Collaborate with and supervise Therapy Assistants
• Attend multidisciplinary team meetings
• Travel between sites based on service demands
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation aligned with client care plans

About You:

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Full, unrestricted AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience in aged care or community services, ideally supporting clients with dementia
• Strong clinical reasoning and a passion for delivering person-centred care
• Ability to relate to clients and share knowledge to foster meaningful change
• High-level communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Strong problem-solving and confident decision-making abilities
• Capacity to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to changing priorities
• Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle for travel across South Metro & Peel region
• Relevant vaccinations and a current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
