Op Shop Coordinator/Assistant Manager

  • This is a diverse role that will allow you to oversee the full Op shop from back of house to the retail Op Shop at the front of the warehouse located in Jandakot.
  • You will be the Site Manager’s right hand and act in place of the Site manager as required in a wide range of site activities and future succession.
  • Lead a passionate team of employees and volunteers to deliver on a great retail experience
  • Drive outcomes through KPI’s, incentives and sales targets.
  • Builds sales through marketing, social media and effective Visual merchandising

Specific duties:

  • Recruitment, supervision, directing, mentoring and training of Store Workers and Volunteers;
  • Compilation and communication of rosters for Op Shop staffing
  • Determination (with Site Manager) of Op Shop opening hours and days
  • Working with Factory Supervisor to ensure optimal sorting of donations
  • Overseeing and effecting selection, pricing and display of donations for sale
  • Rotation of stock to optimise sales
  • Expansion of sales through alternative sales channels including on-line selling
  • Determination and implementation of nature and timing of marketing, promotional activities, including social media presence
  • Overseeing and operation of cash register and EFTPOS terminal
  • Provision and enabling of exceptional Customer Service
  • Completion of end of period cash register and EFTPOS settlements and reconciliations
  • Reporting on sales as required
  • Acting for the Site Manager when absent
  • Opening and closing of site when required
  • Processing of Wholesale Customer orders through on-line Customer portals
  • Assistance with booking of outgoing freight directly and through on-line Customer portal;
  • Assistance with forklift operation and other factory operational activities as required

What you Need:

  • Experience in Op Shop Desirable
  • Experience working in retail management/factory setting
  • A passion for delivering on customer service and sales targets
  • Success in marketing, visual merchandising and driving sales
  • Leadership skills and interpersonal/communication skills
  • A strong hands on, can do approach to work
  • An ability to drive an a positive work environment, lead by example and inspire action and success
  • A current National Police Clearance is required for this role.
  • We will also assist in obtaining a forklift licence.
