People & Culture Manager – Construction
Location: Brisbane based or Rostered | Job Type: Full-time Permanent
About the Company
Our client is a well-established construction contractor delivering major construction projects across Australia. With an already huge and ever growing pipeline of work we are seeking someone to lead the People & Culture function on this project.
The Role
- Lead the People & Culture function across the project workforce
- Partner with senior operational and project leaders to develop and implement workforce strategies
- Provide expert advice on employee relations, industrial relations and workforce matters
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, mobilisation and retention initiatives for construction operations
- Drive leadership development, succession planning and workforce capability programs
- Coach and support leaders on performance management, employee engagement and people-related matters
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, industrial instruments, company policies and regulatory requirements
- Support diversity, inclusion, wellbeing and culture initiatives across the workforce
- Contribute to organisational change, continuous improvement and workforce transformation programs
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- Significant experience in a Senior Human Resources or People & Culture leadership role
- Demonstrated employee relations and industrial relations expertise within operational environments
- Experience supporting large-scale mining, resources, construction, infrastructure or project-based workforces
- Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders and operational stakeholders
- Experience leading workforce mobilisation, talent management and organisational change initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and coaching skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business or a related discipline
