Project Engineer – TMR

  • TMR PROJECT DELIVERY ACROSS QUEENSLAND

Our client is a privately owned civil contractor operating cross all areas of Queensland. The business specialises in bulk earthworks, road construction, drainage, energy and mine site infrastructure, supportingsome of the most remote communites in Queensland.

You will support the delivery of road & stabilisation projects across regional areas of Queensland. The opporutnity to make a real difference to some of the most vulnerable communities in the state. The role offers exposure and development into all areas of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure cost-effective construction methodologies and identify improvement areas.
  • Track project finances, review costs vs. budget, and highlight margin impacts.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and teams to resolve technical, commercial, and scheduling issues.
  • Understand project scope and identify contractual risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare variations, claims, and subcontract agreements.
  • Plan procurement activities, organise labour and equipment for supervisors.
  • Ensure materials and services meet QA requirements.
  • Develop ITPs/ITCs, monitor quality plans, and ensure compliance.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through pre-starts and toolbox talks.
  • Maintain QA documentation, manage project closeout, and finalize defect claims.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years experience delivering TMR projects in Queensland
  • Proven ability within the commercial and contractual space
  • Strong communication
