Are you an experienced underground geologist looking for your next move? Our client, a gold producer is currently developing a few underground mines. Their assets are located in some of the most prolific gold regions in WA.
This is a unique opportunity contribute directly to mine growth and play a key role in shaping the site’s geological and safety culture.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you’ll be responsible for designing, supervising, and interpreting drill programmes that add value to existing resources whilst identifying the next viable ore bodies to extend mine life. This role also offers the chance to mentor junior geologists. This role gives you the chance to gain exposure to wireframing and modelling, whilst working with a strong technical start up team.
- 8/6, no night shifts.
- FIFO ex Perth or DIDO from surrounding areas.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Geology (or equivalent)
- Strong experience in underground gold mining operations
- Competency in geological software: Leapfrog, Surpac, Datamine, Acquire
- Proven ability in grade control, QAQC, mapping, reconciliation, and reporting
- Experience mentoring junior geologists and leading a small technical team
