The Opportunity
Our client is a highly regarded contractor delivering major mining and infrastructure projects across Western Australia. With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) projects valued between $50M and $100M.
Based in Perth, this role offers a Monday to Friday office environment with occasional FIFO site visits (typically 1-2 nights) to support project delivery, client engagement and key project milestones.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially focused Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership of complex civil infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of major NPI projects, ensuring safety, quality, programme and commercial objectives are achieved.
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control, procurement, contracts and subcontractor performance.
- Develop and maintain project programmes, monitor progress and proactively manage project risks and opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and direction to project engineering, commercial and site teams.
- Oversee project reporting, claims, variations and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site visits to support project teams, review progress and maintain strong client relationships.
- Drive a positive safety culture and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with company and client standards.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience managing Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) projects within the mining or resources sector.
- Demonstrated success delivering projects valued between $50M and $100M.
- Strong construction background with experience across commercial building and non process infrastructure.
- Excellent commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, contracts, procurement, forecasting and project controls.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
