The Opportunity:
We are excited to be exclusively representing a number of emerging civil contracting businesses seeking Project Engineers for ground breaking civil projects in the Brisbane metro area. The role will primarily operate between local projects in and around the Brisbane area but there may be a requirement to travel for project work. You will have the opportunity to work on a number of diverse civil project scopes, including civils, council work, flood recovery, rail & roads & more! You will be accountable for:
- Contributing to a culture of ‘Safety & Health above all else.
- Liaising with construction teams across the project as well as subcontractors to deliver works in accordance with project specifications and in accordance with set production and schedule targets.
- Development and management of daily cost reporting.
- Managing the procurement of materials which meet project specifications and program timeframes.
- Day to day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the work of subcontractors;
- Monitoring key project requirements and implementing prompt corrective action if required, to ensure they are achieved in line with agreed specifications.
- Ensuring that relevant stakeholders requirements are met by building and maintaining productive internal and external relationships.
- Maintaining all relevant project document control and records.
- Working closely with your team in a productive manner and being the driving force to get the job done.
The Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline.
- Ideally RPEQ or can obtain reasonably soon
- Previous experience in the Australian civil construction industry.
- Previous experience delivering TMR projects is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully and autonomously within a fast paced project environment and deliver on deadlines.
- Hold proven verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholders.
- Focus and commitment to a zero harm environment.
