About the Company
Our large regional Health Service delivering culturally appropriate, holistic healthcare across Queensland.
The organisation provides multiple services and program across the life span, this position is based in there youth-focused mental health services to young people aged 12-25, supporting them to achieve better mental health, wellbeing and life outcomes.
Seeking Psychologist to join their multidisciplinary team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, culturally safe and trauma-informed mental health services.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Psychologist to join a supportive multidisciplinary team and make a genuine difference in the lives of young people.
You will provide psychological assessment and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for young people experiencing mental health, trauma, alcohol and other drug, and social and emotional wellbeing challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver psychological assessments, clinical formulation and evidence-based interventions
- Provide therapeutic support for mental health, trauma and complex presentations
- Undertake risk assessments, including suicide risk and crisis response
- Manage a clinical caseload and maintain high-quality clinical documentation
- Work collaboratively with young people, families, internal teams and external providers
- Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and clinical governance
- Contribute to group programs, service development and continuous improvement
- Promote culturally safe, trauma-informed and youth-centred practice
- Participate in occasional outreach services to remote communities
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- General registration with AHPRA (Psychology Board of Australia)
- Eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number
- Experience delivering psychological assessments and evidence-based intervention
- Strong understanding of youth mental health, trauma and complex presentations
- Excellent clinical judgement, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to culturally safe and trauma-informed practice
You will also require:
- Current Driver Licence
- Blue Card or ability to obtain
- National Police Check
