The Role

Step into fast-paced operating theatre environments and provide safe, high-quality perioperative care across a variety of surgical procedures.

Depending on your experience and the requirements of each facility, your responsibilities may include:

• Performing scrub and scout/circulating duties throughout surgical procedures.

• Preparing and maintaining sterile fields, surgical instruments and equipment.

• Anticipating surgical team requirements and supporting surgeons and anaesthetic teams.

• Maintaining strict aseptic technique, infection prevention and patient safety standards.

• Monitoring patient wellbeing and supporting safe, efficient theatre workflows.

• Completing accurate clinical documentation and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

What We’re Looking For

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

• Recent operating theatre experience, with demonstrated Scrub/Scout competency.

• Ideally, at least two years of relevant theatre experience.

• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, infection control and perioperative safety.

• Confidence adapting to different hospital environments, surgical teams and procedures.

• Professional communication skills and a proactive, team-focused approach.
