Registered Psychologist – Neurodiversity Assessments

Registered Psychologist – Neurodiversity Assessments – Child & Adolescent Caseload
West Perth, WA – Full-time clinic-based role – Beautiful, luxurious clinic
$100K – $110K + Super | Strong referral flow

About the Practice

Our client is a highly regarded private practice based in West Perth, specialising in neurodiversity-affirming care. They support children, adolescents, and adults, with a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful, person-centred therapy.

The team pride themselves on creating a collaborative, supportive, and down-to-earth environment where clinicians feel valued and can genuinely thrive – not just clinically, but personally too.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Psychologist to join a neurodiversity-focused clinic with a steady stream of referrals and a strong internal support structure.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with children and adolescents and liaising with families and conducting thorough and comprehensive assessments for ASD, ADHD, and SLD.

This is a great opportunity for a Registered Psychologist who wants to step away from delivering face-to-face therapy interventions and focus on Neurodiversity Assessments.

Your role will include:

  • Therapy modalities engaged are CBT, ACT, DBT, Schema and trauma-informed approaches
  • Neurodevelopmental assessments: Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments for ASD, ADHD and SLD using standardised diagnostic tools and best practice guidelines.
  • Diagnostic Formulation and Reporting: Synthesize assessment findings to formulate diagnostic impressions, produce detailed, high-quality diagnostic reports that communicate findings, diagnoses, and recommendations clearly and effectively with a two-week turnaround for ASD assessments and one-week turnaround for ADHD and SLD assessments.
  • Developmental history taking, direct observation, and the administration of specific psychometric instruments
  • A maximum of 2 ASD assessments will be scheduled within a day (equivalent to 4 hours of clients contact) or a minimum of 5 ADHD or SLD assessments, which will be scheduled within a day (equivalent to 5 hours of client contact)
  • Family Support: Provide support, education, and guidance to families and caregivers, helping them understand the diagnosis and navigate the available support and intervention options.
  • Collaborating with schools, GPs, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals
  • Creating a safe, affirming space for neurodivergent clients
  • Diagnostic Formulation & Reporting: Interpret assessment results and produce clear, high-quality diagnostic reports with recommendations, within set timeframes (2 weeks ASD; 1 week ADHD/SLD).
  • Engaging in supervision, team collaboration, and professional development

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Psychologist with AHPRA (newly registered welcome)
  • Experience or interest in working with neurodivergent assessments
  • A warm, person-centred, and strengths-based approach
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

What’s On Offer

  • $100K – $110K + Super with consistent client demand
  • Free local parking in West Perth next to clinic
  • Beautiful modern, luxurious and spacious clinic environment
  • Full training offered on ADHD and SLD Assessments
  • Excellent opportunity to be developed in conducting neurodiverse assessments
  • Full-time clinic-based role
  • Sustainable referral system – focus on quality care, not burnout
  • Supportive, collaborative team with experienced clinicians
  • Beautiful, modern consulting rooms in a heritage-listed building
  • Autonomy over your calendar within a structured, supportive environment

Why This Role Stands Out

This is a great middle ground between private practice and contracting – you’ll have the autonomy to manage your clinical work, without the pressure of running your own business or sourcing your own clients. They have a fantastic team of experienced clinicians and this is a great opportunity for you to develop skills and experience working with neurodiverse assessments.
