About the Organisation
Our client is a highly respected, mission-driven healthcare provider delivering 24-hour emergency aeromedical and primary health care services to people living, working and travelling throughout rural and remote Australia.
Due to ongoing demand, experienced Remote Area Nurses are sought for locum contracts supporting geographically isolated communities across NSW, NT and WA.
The Opportunity
This is a rewarding locum opportunity for experienced RANs seeking flexibility, variety, and meaningful impact – while being well rewarded for your expertise.
You will provide culturally appropriate, high-quality nursing care across:
- Community nursing
- Primary healthcare clinics
- Emergency presentations and stabilisation
- Out-of-hospital emergency response and transport
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering comprehensive primary health care and population health programs
- Triage, emergency response, and patient stabilisation
- Chronic disease management and care planning
- Health promotion and community education initiatives
- Collaborating with visiting Medical Officers, Allied Health, Mental Health and Dental teams
You’ll be working autonomously while supported by a broader multidisciplinary framework focused on integrated, community-led care.
What We’re Looking For
To be considered, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated experience in remote, rural, or Multi-Purpose Health Service settings
- Strong background in primary health care and/or emergency services
- Confidence working independently in isolated environments
- Excellent clinical decision-making skills
- Current AHPRA registration and relevant certifications (ALS, REC or equivalent highly regarded)
- Ability to obtain relevant state Working With Children and Police Clearances
