Remote Area Nurse (RAN) – Healthcare

About the Company
Our client, is a trusted leader in the healthcare sector, delivering 24-hour emergency aeromedical and primary health care services to people living, working and travelling across rural and remote Australia.
They are seeking experienced Remote Area Nurses to join their team and contribute to improving health outcomes for some of the most geographically isolated communities in NSW, NT and WA.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Remote Area Nurse to step into a dynamic and rewarding role offering both challenge and purpose.
You will provide high-quality, culturally appropriate nursing care across community nursing, primary healthcare, and emergency healthcare settings, including out-of-hospital emergency transport.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering comprehensive primary health care and population health services
* Responding to emergency presentations, triage, and stabilisation
* Supporting chronic disease management and health promotion initiatives
* Working collaboratively with visiting Medical Officers, Allied Health, Mental Health, and Dental teams
* Contributing to prevention and early intervention strategies within remote communities
You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and be a key part of the broader service delivery model focused on integrated, community-led care.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
* Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience as a Registered Nurse
* Significant experience in primary health care, population health and/or emergency services in remote Australia or rural Multi-Purpose Health Service facilities
* Strong understanding of Primary Health Care principles, community development, and social determinants of health
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
* Excellent communication skills, resilience, and adaptability
* Current AHPRA registration and relevant certifications
