The Role
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced mental health clinician to step into a senior role within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). You will utilise your advanced clinical expertise to deliver comprehensive assessment and treatment to children and young people aged 0-18 years, while also providing clinical leadership and oversight to the broader CAMHS team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering evidence-based, trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate assessment and therapeutic interventions
* Exercising independent clinical judgement in complex presentations involving children, adolescents and families/carers
* Providing clinical leadership, mentorship and professional support to multidisciplinary clinicians
* Contributing to the development, review and implementation of models of care, clinical pathways, policies and procedures
* Evaluating treatment outcomes using standardised measures and adapting interventions to maximise consumer outcomes
* Participating in service planning, quality improvement initiatives and clinical research activities
* Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated and integrated care
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Eligibility for registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body (Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing)
* Substantial postgraduate clinical experience working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health settings
* Demonstrated expertise in assessment, intervention and care coordination for complex CAMHS presentations
* Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and contemporary child and adolescent mental health practice
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
* Willingness and ability to travel across service sites as required
* Current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
