The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Registered Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Psychology Registrar with experience in eating disorders, body image concerns, trauma and neurodivergent therapy and assessments.
Joining under a subcontractor model, you’ll have complete autonomy over your clinical approach, caseload and working style. With access to consulting rooms during weekday afternoons/evenings and Saturdays, this opportunity is ideal for an experienced clinician looking to establish or expand their private practice while benefiting from the support and resources of an established psychology group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver evidence-based psychological therapy to clients presenting with eating disorders, body image concerns, trauma and neurodivergence.
- Conduct psychological assessments, including ADHD and autism assessments where experienced, and develop individualised treatment plans.
- Independently manage your caseload, clinical approach and day-to-day practice.
- Maintain accurate, ethical and timely clinical documentation in line with professional and Medicare requirements.
- Liaise with GPs, psychiatrists, dietitians and other healthcare professionals where appropriate.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with referrers and clients.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist, or be a Clinical Psychology Registrar.
- Established clinical experience in one or more of the following areas: eating disorders, body image concerns, trauma-informed practice, and neurodivergent therapy and assessments.
- Experience supporting clients with complex presentations and delivering evidence-based interventions.
- Training in relevant therapeutic modalities such as CBT-E, EMDR, ACT, DBT, Schema Therapy or Internal Family Systems.
- Experience conducting ADHD and/or autism assessments, ideally across the lifespan.
- Strong clinical judgement, communication skills and a commitment to high-quality, ethical care.
- The ability to work autonomously, manage your own caseload and develop your private practice.
- Availability to utilise consulting rooms during weekday afternoons/evenings and/or Saturdays.
- An ABN and relevant professional insurances.
