Join a Townsville-based self-performing civil contractor known for delivering diverse and high-quality projects. As a Senior Project Engineer, you’ll oversee a variety of civil scopes, including recent $5 million sewer pump station upgrades for local councils, installation of noise barriers, stormwater management, DMTR, and subdivision developments. You’ll also have the chance to work on unique, non-standard projects with values ranging from $100k to $5m. You will be accountable for:

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee multiple civil projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
• Lead project teams, including site engineers and subcontractors, to ensure efficient project execution.
• Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to align project goals.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, managing resources to meet deadlines.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor and control project budgets, providing regular financial reports.
• Ensure all site activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in civil construction.
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD tools.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure..
