Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager – CIVIL

An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager to join a highly respected civil contracting company delivering projects within the civil infrastructure space. This role is ideal for someone who wants to continue developing their on site delivery skills whilst also working on tenders within the pre-contracts team. It offers the unique option of a hybrid role based at one of the most stunning office locations in the state.

The Opportunity

You will work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and site teams, gaining exposure across all stages of the construction world. This role offers excellent upskilling, career development, and long-term progression within a business known for delivering complex, high-quality projects across Queensland. Scopes of work vary across major infrastructure to smaller local community based projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the project works are completed safely and in compliance with company and client’s procedures, engineering drawings/ specifications, budgets and timeframes
• Prepare, monitor and update plans and working to weekly and monthly programs
• Provide engineering and technical advice to the project team
• Help to develop and submit tenders
• Assist with procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensuring quality requirements are being met
• Programming and planning of the works
• Coordinate approvals for any subcontract variations including notification of any delays or extension of time required
• Working alongside Supervisor’s to ensure best project delivery practices

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

• 8+ years experience in an Engineering role within civil construction

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Experience on TMR or Main Roads projects advantageous
• Experience working on tenders is advantageous

• Eagerness to learn and develop within a high-performing project team

• Ability to work in a fast-paced site environment
