The Opportunity:
Joining our client’s team as a Senior Project Manager or Construction Manager means overseeing a range of civil projects across South East Queensland and Northern NSW. As a self-performing contractor, our client offers a dynamic environment with diverse projects to lead and manage.
You will be accountable for:
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resources allocation.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met and relationships are maintained.
- Oversee project quality standards, ensuring adherence to specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Monitor project financials, including budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
- Manage project delivery from inception to completion, ensuring timely completion within budget and to the client’s satisfaction.
The Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in civil construction, with a focus on subdivision and earthworks projects in Queensland.
- Proven ability to manage multiple subdivision or earthworks projects concurrently, from planning through to completion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage project teams to achieve project goals.
- Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement timely solutions.
- Commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of safety regulations and practices in the civil construction industry.
