About the Company

Our client is a respected community organisation dedicated to supporting individuals and families experiencing hardship, housing insecurity, and social disadvantage. Guided by strong values and a mission centred on safety, independence, and empowerment, delivers a broad range of services across housing, FDV and community support. They are now seeking an experienced Service Operations Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across all frontline service areas, ensuring impactful outcomes for the communities they support.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished leader to step into a pivotal executive role driving high-quality service delivery, operational excellence, and strategic growth.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing strategic and operational leadership across all service delivery areas
* Overseeing multi-program management to ensure high-quality, client-centred outcomes
* Leading and developing frontline managers to drive performance and accountability
* Translating organisational strategy into clear operational plans and measurable outcomes
* Monitoring service performance, outcomes, and impact to support continuous improvement
* Ensuring compliance with contractual, legislative, and regulatory requirements
* Managing program budgets and resources to maintain sustainability
* Building strong stakeholder relationships across funding bodies, community partners, and sector networks
* Supporting funding submissions, tenders, and proposals
* Acting as a key representative in community forums and sector partnerships

You’ll work closely with the Chief Operations Officer, frontline managers, and the broader executive team to deliver cohesive, values-aligned services across the organisation.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
* Tertiary qualifications in human services and at least 7 years’ relevant senior leadership experience
* Extensive experience leading service delivery in community services, not-for-profit, or social impact sectors
* Proven capability in managing multi-site or multi-program teams
* Strong understanding of program management, service delivery models, and evidence-based practice
* Experience implementing organisational strategy and driving operational delivery
* Knowledge of funding frameworks, contracts, compliance, and service quality requirements
* Demonstrated ability to analyse performance data, implement improvements, and manage risk
* Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills
* A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor, motivate, and inspire teams
* Valid C-class driver’s licence, National Police Clearance, WWCC, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
