Our client is a highly respected Tier 2 construction business with an outstanding reputation across Brisbane and the broader Queensland market. With a healthy pipeline of secured work and a commitment to excellence, they are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a landmark $42M aged care facility.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will take full ownership of site operations and lead the successful construction delivery of a large-scale aged care development from structure through to completion and handover.

You will be responsible for driving programme, safety, quality, subcontractor performance, and daily coordination across all site activities while maintaining the high standards the business is recognised for.

This is a key leadership role suited to a proven Site Manager who thrives in complex live environments and understands the importance of stakeholder management, workmanship, and programme delivery within the healthcare and aged care sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all day-to-day site operations
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site labour to achieve programme milestones
  • Drive a strong safety-first culture and ensure full compliance with WHS requirements
  • Monitor construction progress against programme and proactively manage delays and sequencing
  • Ensure exceptional quality assurance across all stages of construction
  • Conduct and lead site meetings, toolbox talks, and subcontractor coordination meetings
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Contract Administrator, consultants, and client representatives
  • Manage site logistics, programming, and short-term planning activities
  • Maintain accurate site records, reporting, and documentation
  • Oversee defect management, commissioning, and project handover processes

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering large-scale commercial or health-related projects valued $30M+
  • Previous aged care, healthcare, hospital, or complex institutional project experience highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and programme management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to drive subcontractor performance
  • High-level focus on safety, quality, and client outcomes
  • Trade or tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or related discipline
  • Strong tenure and reputation within the Queensland construction market preferred
