Job Opportunity: Site Supervisor (Hybrid – Perth and Site)
Role Overview:
We’re seeking a technically adept Site Supervisor in Perth to spearhead shutdown maintenance and after-sales support for a Tier 1 mining client. The role would be a hybrid, local and site-based role with a pre scheduled shut roster, where your primary focus will be leading service teams, orchestrating maintenance activities, and ensuring optimal performance of equipment with a keen eye on safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Drive a safety-centric ethos throughout all operations.
- Coordinate intricate maintenance and service protocols.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders and customers, ensuring seamless communication and coordinate all aspects of after sales service & support.
- Foster the professional growth of team members through mentoring and guidance.
- Conduct meticulous equipment commissioning and troubleshoot with precision.
- Regularly report on progress and manpower overruns or shortfalls
- Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements.
- Lead pre-start meetings.
- Complete detailed shift logs and handovers for the client and incoming shift supervisors
- Mentor and coach crew members to help with their career development.
- Responsible for the upkeep of site tool containers
- Assist in workshop overhaul and repair works, intermittently as and when site work is not available.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years’ supervisory experience in a technically demanding environment.
- Possess a Mechanical Trade Qualification, supplemented by hands-on experience.
- Prior exposure to the mining industry, preferably with expertise in crushing/sizing/screening.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, coupled with sharp analytical and problem-solving acumen.
Schedule:
Site-based: Embrace the challenge of 12-hour days with overtime compensations but with a well mapped out shut schedule so you can plan and program ahead.
Workshop: Regular 7.6-hour days, Monday through Friday, for meticulous equipment scrutiny.
Remuneration:
- Base Salary: Commensurate with experience, starting at $115,000 + Super.
- Potential to soar to $150k – $180k with involvement in shutdown schedules.
- Company phone, laptop and credit card for expenses related to shut travel.
- Start Date: Immediate.
