Maternal Health Social Worker

Our client is looking for a passionate Social Worker who is looking for their next adventure to join a skilled multidisciplinary team in rural North QLD, affectionately recognised as the ‘oasis of the outback!’

Role details:

This is an exciting, newly created permanent full-time position in North QLD within a hospital setting. You will Support and maximise the psychosocial functioning and adjustment of Maternal Health patients and their families through the provision of psychoeducation and facilitation of referrals, interprofessional practice, and community agency. You will work alongside an experienced and passionate team of multidisciplinary clinicians.

Experience working with First Nations and Women’s Health is highly desirable for this role.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work and registered with AASW.

  • Working with Children Blue Card (must hold prior to appointment to this position)

  • Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000

  • National Police Check

  • C Class Motor Vehicle Licence

  • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis
