The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established civil contractor with a strong reputation for delivering major mining and infrastructure projects across Western Australia. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to lead the delivery of a large-scale bulk earthworks package on a major mining project.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record managing large earthworks crews and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise day-to-day site operations across bulk earthworks activities.
  • Coordinate supervisors, engineers, plant, labour, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Drive safety, quality, and environmental compliance across all work fronts.
  • Monitor project progress and productivity against programme targets.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and senior leadership team to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships both on-site and with the client.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Superintendent or Senior Supervisor on large-scale civil or mining projects.
  • Strong background delivering bulk earthworks, roads, haul roads, pads, drainage, and associated civil infrastructure.
  • Proven leadership experience managing large site-based teams.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, productivity, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
  • FIFO experience within the mining sector preferred.
