Transport Forklift Operator/ Yard Hand

Are you a forklift operator with a knack for organization and a passion for keeping things moving? We’ve got a fantastic position just for you!

Role: Transport Yard Hand (Stores/Forklift Operator)
Pay: $32.25 per hour + Penalties
Roster: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Forklift Mastery: Load, unload, and move products with precision. You’ll be the go-to person for ensuring trucks are loaded safely, accurately, and with zero damage.
  • Double-Check Dynamo: Quality and accuracy are your middle names. You’ll double-check all loaded trucks to make sure everything’s perfect before they hit the road.
  • Paperwork Pro: Keep transport paperwork as flawless as your forklift driving. Accurate, timely, and Main Roads compliant.
  • Yard Hero: Assist with transport team activities, help with stock counts, liaise with production, and ensure the yard is spotless. You’ll be the MVP when it comes to stock management and yard housekeeping.

What You Need:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years operating a Forklift
  • Tickets: Forklift license (required). C-Class license and reliable transportation are essential.
  • Skills: Fluent English and solid communication skills.
  • PPE: Long-sleeve hi-vis shirt, long pants, and steel cap boots.

Bonus Points:

  • DAS Test: Must be able to pass a DAS test
  • Temp to Perm: Opportunity to transition to a permanent role after 3 months for the right candidate (negotiable).
