Underground Manager

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Underground Manager to play a key leadership role in the restart of a Western Australian underground gold operation.

Working alongside an experienced executive team, you will lead underground mining activities through the recommissioning phase before transitioning into steady-state operations.

This role offers the opportunity to influence systems, develop people and establish best practice from day one.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Site Senior Executive, you will provide leadership across underground operations while working closely with technical services, geology and contractor partners to safely deliver production objectives.

You’ll also play an important role in developing the next generation of operational leaders within the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all underground mining operations.
  • Deliver safe and efficient production outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop operational leadership capability.
  • Drive operational planning and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships across owner and contractor teams.

About You

You are an experienced Underground Manager or a highly capable Mining Manager ready to step into your next leadership role.

You’ll possess:

  • Strong underground hard rock mining experience.
  • Proven leadership capability across underground operations.
  • Excellent people leadership and coaching skills.
  • Strong understanding of production planning and execution.
  • A collaborative leadership style focused on safety and performance.
